Before the turn of the century, buildings were constructed to last for a long time, not just for one generation but for many. They were decorated and appreciated. Nothing lasts forever, but today's building industry does not focus on preserving the environment - developers have a lot of power and focus on economic gain with over-specified homes that are difficult to change the use of. The materials are based on petroleum. In the future, we must look back and build with biodegradable/recyclable materials, general/flexible/elastic housing and not least, good public spaces. This project was in collaboration with Karl Fredrik Honningsvåg, Jeppe Holter and Håvard Amundsen.
